Verschiedenste Gerüchte haben bereits vorhergesagt, dass das am Dienstag kommende iPhone 8 das teuerste Smartphone sein könnte, welches Apple je veröffentlicht hat. Mehrere Analysten nennen es ein “Premium”-Gerät, welches über 1000 Dollar kosten könnte. Inklusive Steuern könnte der Preis in Deutschland sogar über 1000 Euro für das günstige iPhone 8 liegen.
Der Autor Brian X Chen der New York Times zitiert anonyme Quellen, wonach neben Apple’s aktualisierten iPhones in der nächsten Woche ein “Premium-Modell” mit einem Preis “um die 999 Dollar” kommen könnte.

Apple made room for a bigger screen on that model by reducing the size of the bezel — or the forehead and the chin — on the face of the device. Other new features include facial recognition for unlocking the device, along with the ability to charge it with magnetic induction, the people said.
