iPad 3 Backcover ähnlich dem des iPad 2, kein Quad-Core Prozessor
Gerüchte rund um das iPad 3 gibt es schon einige. So sollen laut diesem Gerücht sicher ein Apple A6-Prozessor, LTE und Retina-Display verbaut werden. Dieses hier bekräftigt nochmals das vorherige Gerücht in Sachen CPU und Bildschirm.
Jetzt gibt es endlich auch ein Bild, wie das neue Apple Tablet aussehen könnte.
Laut einem Bericht von Fix iPhones wurden im Backcover des iPad 3 Möglichkeiten auf einen neuen Bildschirm (Retina Display?!) und einen größeren Akku (für den Apple A6?!) entdeckt.

2. More battery. The width of where the logic board sits on the iPad 2 appears much larger than that of the iPad 3. We have long heard that the iPad 3 was going to provide longer battery life, and this back housing seems to support that.

3. The camera is different. It is hard to make a judgment just by looking at the casing, but what we can expect is a different camera on the iPad 3 than what we had on the 2.
(Die Kamera ist verschieden. Es ist allerdings sehr schwierig eine Schlussfolgerung zu ziehen rein aus dem Gehäuse, aber die Aussparung scheint für eine anderen Kamera als beim iPad 2 zu sein.)
4. LCD will be different than what we have had before. Whether or not it will be the super screen we have seen reported will have to wait. But the different mounting does mean that the LCD has been redesigned at the very least.
(Der Bildschirm wird anders sein. Es wird das Retina-Display sein. Die neue Befestigung lässt aber auf ein redesigntes Display schließen.)

Neue Bilder der Rückseite des iPad 3 sind auf Apple.pro erschienen. Die Kamera im iPad 3 soll auf jeden Fall eine andere als die aktuelle HD 720p 30 fps – Kamera im iPad 2 sein. Sie ist etwas weiter nach oben verschoben, wie man dem Foto entnehmen kann.

Kein Quad-Core Prozessor im iPad 3
Laut The Verge wird das iPad 3 keinen Quad-Core Prozessor, sondern einen Dual-Core Apple A6-Prozessor enthalten.
We’re also told that the A6 CPU the iPad 3 is likely to sport will include a significantly more powerful GPU — no big surprise there. What is surprising, however, is that our sources say that the A6 will not be a quad-core chip, but will remain dual-core. We’ve previously had heard that the device would have a quad-core CPU as well as an LTE cell radio on-board, but at least part of that story wasn’t accurate.
Wenn dieser Bericht der Wahrheit entspricht, will Apple wohl nicht mit den anderen Android-Tablets auf dem Markt konkurrieren, die allesamt Quad-Core Prozessoren enthalten. Die grafische Prozessoreinheit soll aber auf jeden Fall stärker werden, um die Pixel des Retina-Displays korrekt darzustellen.
