pod2g schon mit iOS 6 Jailbreak beschäftigt
Erst gestern kam der iOS 5.1.1 untethered Jailbreak vom Jailbreak Dream-Team heraus. Viele Hacker waren daran lange Zeit beschäftigt, besonders pod2g dürfte einen großen Teil dazu beigetragen haben.
In einem Interview mit Softpedia hat pod2g nun bekanntgegeben, bereits am Jailbreak für die kommende Apple-Firmware iOS 6 zu arbeiten. Ein Teil für den Jailbreak soll sogar schon fertiggestellt sein.

Dies verwundert in der Hinsicht, dass Apple für iOS 6 noch nicht einmal eine Beta-Version an die Entwickler freigegeben hat.
Ich denke eher, dass die Hacker noch weitere Exploits in iOS 5.1.1 gefunden und noch nicht für einen Jailbreak ausgenutzt haben. Deshalb spekulieren sie darauf, dass Apple die Lücken in iOS 6 nicht schließen wird. Die Zeit wird zeigen, ob sich die Spekulationen bewahrheiten. Spätestens in der ersten iOS 6 Beta-Version werden wir es erfahren.

Wenn allerdings so viele Exploits vorhanden sind, warum veröffentlicht man den Jailbreak nicht früher? Diese Frage beantwortet pod2g damit, dass immer auf die finale Version einer Firmware gewartet wird, damit Apple eventuell vorhandene Exploits nicht in einer dritten oder vierten Beta-Version schließt. Jedes Mitglied aus dem Team arbeitet auf seine Weise und genau das verhilft dazu, schneller Exploits zu finden.

We start this process only when the final version of the system is released. That’s why we always have a delay after the release to do a jailbreak.
