iTunes 11 kommt als großes Update mit neuem Design
Apple arbeitet an iTunes 11 und wird es vermutlich Ende diesen Jahres mit dem iPhone 5 und iOS 6 Final veröffentlichen. Die neue Version der Software soll einfacher und benutzerfreundlicher als das aktuelle iTunes 10.6 sein. Über eine verbesserte iCloud-Integration wird ebenfalls spekuliert.
Bloomberg berichtet:
“Apple Inc. (AAPL) plans an overhaul of iTunes that would mark one of the largest changes to the world’s biggest music store since its 2003 debut, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter.
Apple will unveil the changes by year’s end, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans aren’t public. The company will more closely integrate its iCloud file-store service with iTunes so users can more seamlessly access and manage their music, videos and downloaded software apps across different Apple gadgets, the people said. Apple also plans new features for sharing music, the people said.”
Bloomberg geht davon aus, dass Apple iTunes 11 von Grund auf überarbeiten wird, und es damit eines der größten Updates seit 2003 für die Software geben wird. Der Sharing-Aspekt soll ausführlicher beleuchtet werden, Apple wird Ping wahrscheinlich bald deaktivieren. Facebook und Twitter werden mehr integriert, wie man schon bei den neuen Stores in iOS 6 sehen kann.
